Protected Area Workers Association (NSW, Australia)
Amanda has been a dedicated ranger for over a decade, working across multiple national parks agencies including the South Australian National Parks and Wildlife Service, Northern Territory Parks, and New South Wales National Parks and Wildlife Service. She has actively contributed to ranger associations such as the South Australian Ranger Association (SARA) and the Protected Area Workers Association (PAWA), holding various committee roles. Her leadership within these organisations, coupled with her experiences as a ranger, have given her a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing rangers across the region.
Her expedition across Oceania deepened her commitment to fostering collaboration and support among rangers, helping them bridge cultural and geographical divides. As the newly elected IRF Oceania Representative, Amanda is excited to support rangers during this pivotal period of regional development. She is focused on ensuring Oceania plays a key role in shaping the IRF’s future, particularly by advocating for greater inclusivity, accessibility, and cross-cultural dialogue. With momentum from initiatives like the Ranger Round Tables, Amanda is eager to help Oceania’s angers tackle the region’s unique challenges together.
