Mitä teemme

Kansainvälinen Ranger Federation (IRF) on voittoa tavoittelematon järjestö perustettiin lisätä tietoisuutta ja tukea kriittistä työtä, Rangers tekevät säilyttämiseksi maailman luonnon ja kulttuuriperinnön.

We work with our partners and other organisations as well as our member associations and their Rangers to ensure the world’s terrestrial and marine parks, ja kasviston ja eläimistön että elää niissä, on suojattu ilkivaltaa, salametsästys, varkaus, exploitation and destruction.

As front-line guardians of the world’s natural and cultural resources, Rangers are first on the scene of illegal or unsustainable exploitation of these resources, usein suuren henkilökohtaisen riskin. Alueellisten konfliktien, civil war and political unrest also greatly impact protected areas and the Rangers that are dedicated to protecting them.

The world’s Rangers require special support structures, training and equipment to carry out their jobs. The IRF through its charity arm, Thin Green Line Foundation, provides funds for training, equipment, capacity building and exchange programs to its members in order to ensure Rangers are well trained and properly equipped to manage the world’s most precious wildernesses.

Being the voice of Rangers in the international community, the IRF advocates for greater support for Rangers in carrying out their vital role in the protection of the world’s natural resources, as well as for good governance and the enactment of enforceable laws that protect Rangers from assault while performing their duties.
